In the 2018 to 2019 year, the Cranbourne East Area, which consists of Clyde North and Cranbourne East, was the largest growing area in Australia. Forecasts suggest that the Clyde Area will be the fastest and largest growing area in the City of Casey region between 2016 and 2031, with a population set to explode from 11,000 people to nearly 100,000 by 2031.

To support the rapidly growing population of the Clyde Area and in extension, the City of Casey, billions of dollars’ worth of projects have been approved or are currently under construction in and around the Clyde Area. These include the in-progress $1.40 billion Monash Fwy (M1) Upgrade and the approved $679 million Cranbourne Rail Line Upgrade. Precinct structure plans have also been implemented to guide the future development of suburbs and according to plans, the Clyde Area will soon benefit from additional schools, shopping centres, medical precincts and recreational facilities, as well as 20,000 new jobs upon the area’s completion.
